Menempuh pendidikan jenjang S3 atau doktoral biasanya dikenal lebih sulit dibanding di tingkat S1 atau S2. Saking susahnya sampai ada idiom “susah masuk, susah keluar” untuk menggambarkan betapa S3 merupakan jenjang pendidikan yang sangat susah. Namun idiom ini berhasil dipatahkan oleh Muhammad Syukri Sadimantara, salah satu mahasiswa Program Doktor Teknologi Industri Pertanian Universitas Brawijaya angkatan 2021 yang berhasil menyelesaikan S3 nya hanya dalam waktu 2 tahun 10 bulan.

Hebatnya lagi, selain mejadi lulusan tercepat Muhammad Syukri Sadimantara juga berhasil meraih IPK nyaris sempurna berkat raihan Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK) tertinggi 3.98 sehingga berhak menyandang predikat lulus dengan pujian.

Mengusung disertasi berjudul “Desain Computer Vision Berbasis Citra Reflektansi dan Fluoresensi menggunakan Machine Learning sebagai Pendeteksi Aflatoksin pada Biji Kakao, Muhammad Syukri Sadimantara berhasil mempublikasikan penelitiannya di 3 Jurnal Ilmiah Internasional bereputasi (Scopus) yaitu International Journal of Agriculture & Biology (Q3), Journal of Robotics and Control (Q3) dan Journal of Global Innovations in Agricultural Sciences (Q4) dibawah bimbingan tim promotor Prof. Yusuf Hendrawan STP., M.App.Life Sc., Ph.D (promotor), Prof. Dr. Ir. Bambang Dwi Argo, DEA (ko-promotor I) dan Prof. Dr. Sucipto, S.TP, MP (ko-promotor II).

Syukri mengaku pencapaiannya ini tidak terlepas dari support dan arahan dari tim promotor untuk produktif dan efektif efisien.

“Saya sangat berterima kasih kepada tim promotor yaitu Prof. Yusuf Hendrawan, Prof. Bambang Dwi Argo dan Prof. Sucipto atas proses bimbingan yang intensif dan inspiratif sehingga membantu saya dalam menulis publikasi yang dapat diterima dan telah publish pada 3 Jurnal Internasional bereputasi (Scopus). Insya Allah semangat menulis paper bisa dilanjutkan dan ditingkatan setelah pulang ke instansi asal. Saya juga mengucapkan terima kasih kepada bapak Dr. Agrc.Sc Dimas Firmanda dari Teknik Biosistem FTP UB atas izin penggunaan alat akuisisi citra yang sangat membantu dalam menyelesaikan studi saya. Sungguh atmosfir dan sistem perkuliahan serta pembimbingan program doktoral di FTP sangat sangat efektif dan efisien. Peran tim promotor, prodi, doa dan support keluarga merupakan kunci penyelesaian studi saya,” jelasnya.

Lebih lanjut pria yang juga merupakan awardee Beasiswa Pendidikan Indonesia (BPI) kemendikbudristek juga menyampaikan ucapan terima kasih kepada Dekan FTP UB sekaligus promotornya, Prof. Yusuf Hendrawan,STP. M.App.Life.Sc. Ph.D, Kaprodi Doktor TIP, Prof. Irnia Nurika dan seluruh staff administrasi Prodi Doktor TIP yang menfasilitasi selama menempuh studi doktor.

“Panduan dan tahapan penyelesaian studi Doktor yang telah disusun oleh Prodi dan Fakultas menjadi salah satu motivasi saya untuk menyelesaikan target pada setiap semesternya sehingga alhamdulillah dapat menyelesaikan studi tepat waktu, semoga Prodi Doktor TIP dan FTP UB semakin jaya kedepannya”. pungkasnya.

Dekan FTP yang juga promotor menanggapi, “ Alhamdulillah selamat. Semoga bisa menjadi inspirasi untuk teman teman yang lain. Jangan takut studi lanjut, insyaAllah di FTP UB, kami siap mendukung seluas luasnya. Ini buktinya, selain lulusan tercepat , IPK nya pun tertinggi. MasyaAllah tabarakallahu. Saya bangga. Semoga bisa menjadi motivasi untuk semuanya,” jelasnya.

Pada kesempatan yang sama Muhammad Syukri Sadimantara yang berdinas sebagai tenaga pengajar di Fakultas Pertanian,Universitas Halu Oleo (UHO), Kendari, Sulawesi Tenggara ini juga menjelaskan bahwa model computer vision yang telah dirancangnya ini telah mampu mendeteksi biji kakao yang terkontaminasi aflatoksin dengan akurasi tinggi pada akuisisi fluoresensi disbanding reflektansi. Dengan demikian hal ini membuka peluang riset lanjutan dengan memperhatikan implementasinya pada industri kakao/pelaku pada rantai pasok perdagangan kakao sehingga mengurangi kerugian pada perdagangan dan meningkatkan keamanan pangan khususnya pada komoditas kakao.
