Every beginning will eventually meet its ending, and what remains is often nothing more than a memory, a story, and the traces a person has left behind.
Yet, not many people truly understand how short life is. Many become so consumed by their desires, ambitions, and obsessions that they forget one simple truth: every step they take is bringing them closer to the end of their journey.
Isn’t every action we take ultimately a reflection of who we are?
Human beings are given hearts that can sense what is right and wrong. That heart should become a bridge between human beings and the Almighty.
Life, therefore, is not merely about how we appear in front of others, but also about how we will ultimately be accountable for ourselves before God.
No human being is truly perfect. Sometimes, even claiming that we are not hypocrites can become a form of hypocrisy itself. No one in this world is completely pure except the messengers sent by God.
Sadly, there are people who believe they are better, more righteous, or more deserving than those who are different from them.
Such arrogance reminds us of the story of a great being who refused to obey God’s command because he believed himself to be superior to another creation. His pride became his downfall.
So, can human beings make the same mistake?
Human beings were created with reason and the ability to think. Every person is born pure into this mortal world, but life gradually shapes people in different ways. Some grow into compassionate, humble, and self-aware individuals. Others allow greed, envy, hatred, and arrogance to control them.
Character becomes one of the forces that determines the direction of a person’s life.
Being created with intelligence and dignity does not mean that human beings are free to do whatever they want without consequences. Every choice has a consequence. Every action leaves a trace.
Character and disposition may not be exactly the same, but they complement each other in shaping human identity. When people become aware of who they truly are, they learn to control their darker tendencies while cultivating their virtues.
They begin to understand that life is not simply about looking good in front of others. It is about genuinely becoming a good person.
Those who understand this do not spend their lives searching for the faults of others because they realize that they themselves are still far from perfect.
Blessed are those who can live with a peaceful heart. When their time comes, they can leave this world without carrying hatred and deliberate wrongdoing within their souls.
But woe to those who allow darkness to grow inside them.
What makes darkness even more dangerous is that it often hides behind a mask of perfection.
There are people who become so hungry for recognition that they begin to believe they are special, superior, and incapable of being wrong. For them, admitting a mistake does not represent courage. Instead, it feels like a defeat that threatens their pride and self-worth.
When reality begins to expose the cracks in the image they have carefully built, they choose to protect the illusion.
Instead of humbling themselves, admitting their mistakes, apologizing, and seeking forgiveness, they create new lies simply to protect an already fragile reputation.
Isn’t it tragic when someone chooses to protect a mask rather than save their own soul?
When the mirror of truth finally reveals the cracks in that mask, such a person may search for someone else to blame.
Then the slander begins.
Mistakes that should have been carried by one person are placed upon the shoulders of another. Relationships are manipulated. Friendships are destroyed. Trust is broken.
All of it is done for one purpose: to escape the truth.
Ironically, those who constantly destroy the peace of others are often the very people who have lost peace within themselves.
They feel victorious when they see others fighting. They feel powerful when they can control what people think. They want to become the center of attention, as if they have the right to judge everyone else’s life.
Yet the higher they place themselves above others, the deeper they fall into the abyss of arrogance.
Human beings may manipulate the opinions of others. They may create stories, build false images, and convince people of their version of reality.
But there is one thing that cannot be manipulated: truth and divine justice.
Every action has a consequence. Every lie has a moment when it is exposed. Every wound deliberately inflicted upon another person may eventually return to the one who caused it.
For those who take pleasure in destroying peace, the final destination is not victory but emptiness.
The fortress of lies they built so carefully will eventually collapse. When the truth emerges, there will be nowhere left to hide.
Therefore, do not destroy yourself by spreading hatred.
Losing the trust of the people around you can become the beginning of a painful downfall. A person may still possess wealth, status, or influence, but when trust, love, and sincerity disappear, life can become a lonely and cold existence.
Every slander thrown at another person can eventually return as a sword that wounds the one who wielded it. Every conflict deliberately created can leave behind broken relationships that may never be repaired.
And every mask built upon lies will eventually crack.
In the end, human beings will not be judged by how perfect they appeared before the world, but by who they truly were when no one was watching.
Because life is ultimately a journey of discovering the self.
We may have flaws. We may have made mistakes. But as long as we have the humility to admit them, apologize, and change, there is always a path toward goodness.
But a soul consumed by arrogance, lies, and hatred will eventually be destroyed by its own darkness.
It will lose love, drift away from inner peace, and stand alone before a mirror reflecting every lie it has ever created.
